Operated by Stagecoach South East, the Park and Ride system is a convenient solution aiming to reduce traffic congestion and pollution in the city of Canterbury.
Locations and Facilities
There are three main Park and Ride sites in Canterbury. All sites are strategically located to provide easy access to the city centre. For further details of accessing each site, please click the below links:
New Dover Road Park and Ride (South)
Buses run every eight minutes from 7am until 7.10pm Monday to Saturday.
On Sunday, buses run every 10 minutes from 9.45am to 5pm.
After these times, you can catch Stagecoach buses 16 or 15.
Wincheap Park and Ride (West)
Buses run every eight from 7am to 7.20pm Monday to Saturday.
On Sunday, buses run every 10 minutes from 9.45am to 5.30pm.
Sturry Road Park and Ride (East)
Buses run every 10 minutes from 7.10am to 7.30pm Monday to Saturday.
On Sunday, buses run every 10 minutes from 10.05am to 5.30pm.
After these times, you can catch Stagecoach buses 600, 601, 602, 8, 8A or 8X.
Park and Ride buses are equipped with free Wi-Fi, next stop information, improved seating, heating, and individual phone and laptop charging points.
Cost
Canterbury Park & Ride costs just £4 per car per day, which includes bus travel for up to six passengers.
For residents of Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable, or the surrounding rural villages, there is a 20% discount available, reducing the cost to £3.20 per day by signing up for a residents rate permit. Additionally, if you use the Park and Ride service five times in a calendar month and have a parking account, your fifth journey is free.
